Hawks fall to top seed Regis in RMAC semifinals

The Rockhurst women's lacrosse team was eliminated in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals by top-seeded Regis Friday evening by a score of 17-4.

Maddi Scheipeter led the Hawks with two goals. Hannah Miller scored one goal and collected two assists. Helen Krause got on the board with one goal. Hanna Meek tallied a team-high five draw controls and four ground balls. Logan Derosia was named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Regis Rangers, ranked third in the country, defeated No. 9 Lindenwood, 16-15, in triple overtime in the RMAC Championship game Sunday.

For the Hawks, it was a tough end to an otherwise very positive season, which saw Coach Molly McCourt's program post a school-record 11 wins. With many key contributors set to return next season, it is easy to feel excited about the future of Rockhurst Lacrosse.
