Hawks finish second in GLVC SAAC Challenge, raising money for Make-A-Wish

Through its SAAC mission, the GLVC raised over $9,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced the results of its 2018-19 Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Challenge, in which Rockhurst earned second place with 372 points.

Indianapolis takes first place for the fourth-straight year, with 490 points. This is Indy's 10th first place finish in the 12-year history of the award.

The mission of the GLVC SAAC is to enhance the overall student-athlete experience by maintaining a commitment to academic and athletic experience while promoting diversity, serving as ambassadors to the community and acting as liaisons between every GLVC student-athlete, the conference office, and the NCAA.

NCAA Division II's SAAC initiative raises funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Each GLVC school conducts its own fundraising efforts throughout the year and the conference dollars are combined for a grand total at the end of each academic year. As of May 15, GLVC SAAC has raised a combined $9,582.60.
