Vermes is featured speaker for Young Alumni Speaker Series

Peter Vermes is the the fifth-winningest coach in MLS history.

Peter Vermes, manager and technical director of Sporting Kansas City, will be the featured speaker at Rockhurst University's Kansas City Young Alumni Council on Tuesday, April 30 from 5:45 to 8 p.m. at the Pedro Arrupe, S.J., Hall Auditorium.

Vermes oversees all soccer operations for Sporting Kansas City, including head coaching duties, roster management, scouting and oversight of the Swope Park Rangers and Sporting KC Academy. He is the longest-tenured head coach in the MLS and the fifth-winningest coach in MLS history.

The Young Alumni Council invites all alumni and friends of the University for a night at Rockhurst featuring Vermes' talk, "Building and Maintaining Culture in Business." Tony Tocco and Giorgio Antongirolami, RU men's soccer coaches, and Greg Herdlick, RU women's soccer coach, will lead a question-and-answer session with Vermes after his talk.

Doors open at 5:45 with a social hour and the program begins at 7 p.m. Tickets can still be purchased for $25. Your ticket includes light snacks, drinks and admittance to the presentation.
