Rockhurst's Alex Pfeil has been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week in men's lacrosse, it was announced by the league office Monday.
The senior goalie posted a career-high 18 saves in a 12-6 win over nationally-ranked Lindenwood last week through 60 minutes of action.
Pfeil made nine saves in the fourth period, including seven in final 7:25. He faced 44 shots, recording .750 save percentage and grabbed three ground balls.
This marks Pfeil's first career GLVC Defensive Player of the Week award.
