No. 13 Hawks open conference play at Montevallo

The Rockhurst Hawks men's lacrosse team returns to the road this weekend to open conference play at Montevallo (2-4) Friday at 7 p.m. in Montevallo, Alabama.

Rockhurst (3-1) is ranked 13th in the latest USILA Division II rankings after dropping a hard-fought 14-13 loss in double overtime at fourth-ranked Belmont Abbey on March 2.

Junior defender Connor Bateman was named to the USILA D2 Team of the Week. Bateman led Rockhurst with five caused turnovers at Belmont Abbey. Bateman also scooped up three
ground balls in the overtime defeat.

Sophomore attacker Sam Lindahl leads the team with 26 points on 15 goals and 11 assists. Junior attacker Drake O'Neill has scored 22 points (13 G, 9 A) and senior attacker Collin Fischer has 14 points (12 G, 2 A). Senior goalie Alex Pfeil has a 9.69 goals against average while making 23 saves in four games.

The Hawks play their next three games on the road at Montevallo (March 8), No. 3 Limestone (March 11) and Shorter (March 13) before returning home to host Adams State on March 17.
