Rockhurst's Sam Lindahl and Zach Bodeau have been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in men's lacrosse, it was announced by the league office Monday (March 25).
Lindahl tallied 14 points on nine goals and five assists in pair of league wins last week. The sophomore attacker posted five goals and four assists in a 19-9 win over Alabama Huntsville on Friday and registered four unassisted goals and one assist in a 20-8 triumph over Young Harris on Sunday. Lindahl added six caused turnovers and three ground balls, including five CTs against Young Harris.
This is Lindahl's second career Offensive Player of the Week this season. He also received D2 Team of the Week honors from the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
Bodeau grabbed 24 ground balls to lead Rockhurst in a pair of GLVC wins last week. He tallied a game-high 13 ground balls vs. Alabama Huntsville and another game-high 11 ground balls vs. Young Harris.
The junior midfielder was nearly perfect in face-off attempts, securing 31-of-32 (.969) while winning all 16 in the win over Huntsville. This is Bodeau's second career Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
