Hawks dominate Shorter, 23-4, in Georgia

Kai Trujillo led the Hawks with seven goals.

Box Score Kai Trujillo scored seven goals to lead 14th-ranked Rockhurst to a 23-4 victory over Shorter Wednesday night in Rome, Georgia.

Sam Lindahl posted three goals and four assists. Cole Wright collected three goals, one assist and three ground balls. Brooks Hanson scored three goals, while Collin Fischer added two goals and one assist.

Zach Bodeau led the Hawks with 10 ground balls and won 14-of-14 faceoffs. Sal Valdivia had seven ground balls and won 14-of-16 faceoffs.

Rockhurst outshot Shorter, 79-12. Trujillo had a team-high 11 shots. Lindahl tallied eight shots and Hanson added seven shots.

The Hawks (5-2, 2-0 GLVC) return home to host Adams State on Sunday at noon.
