The top-ranked Drury Panthers started fast, leading Rockhurst wire-to-wire in a 90-67 win Thursday night at the O'Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield, Missouri.
The Panther press sped the Hawks up and the home team shot 14-of-19 (73.7 percent) in the first quarter, jumping out to a 35-15 lead.
The Hawks settled in, outscoring Drury 42-32 in the second half.
Madeline Ronshausen (19 points, seven-of-14 FG),
Briahtia Sebek (16 points, four-of-five 3-pointers) and
Kaci German (13 points, 11 rebounds) led the way for Rockhurst.
Lauren Krissman added seven points, six rebounds and a team-high four assists for the Hawks.
Hailey Dolphin chipped in five points.
Reagan Dodd added four points, five rebounds and three assists.
Paige Robinson (21 points) and Hailey Diestelkamp (20 points) led the charge for Drury.
The Hawks (9-16, 5-12 GLVC) wrap up their regular season at Missouri S&T Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
