The Rockhurst women's basketball team travels to William Jewell Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. tipoff.
The Hawks split their two games last week with an 81-67 win over Quincy Thursday and a 74-66 loss to Truman State Saturday.
Madeline Ronshausen continues to anchor the Hawks, leading the team in points (18.4 per game), rebounds (4.1 pg) and assists (2.7 pg).
Rockhurst has received strong contributions from three promising freshmen --
Meghan Urbanski,
Hailey Dolphin and
Reagan Dodd -- in recent games.
The Hawks fell to William Jewell 72-51 on Jan. 12 at Mason-Halpin Field House. In the weeks since then, Rockhurst's ball-handling, rebounding and defensive intensity have been more consistent which could lead to a more competitive game this time around.
Jewell is 13-10 (7-8 GLVC) on the season. Offensively, the Cardinals are led by Antoinette Mussorici (14.9 pg) and Kiara Bradley (13.4 pg). Jewell is stout on the other end of the floor, allowing the third-fewest points per game in the GLVC at 63.6.
