Seniors lead Hawks to 3-0 win in final home match

Rockhurst took over sole possession of first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference after posting a 3-0 Senior Day victory over Bellarmine (25-18, 26-24, 25-21) Saturday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.

Senior Karli Reichert led the 20th-ranked Hawks (24-6, 12-1 GLVC) with 12 kills and 10 digs in her final home match. Seniors Alyssa Woodman and Mary Rolf each finished with eight kills. Rolf also had four blocks.

Audrey Arand contributed eight kills and six digs. Justice Wingate added seven kills. Jadyn Makovicka tallied a team-high 18 digs. Dani Prusha collected 38 assists and six digs.

Set One: Rockhurst 25, Bellarmine 18
The Hawks closed the set on a 4-0 run with the aid of three hitting errors by the Knights. Reichert and Rolf combined for eight kills.

Set Two: Rockhurst 26, Bellarmine 24
Rockhurst overcame a late rally by Bellarmine after taking a 22-19 lead. Arand led the Hawks with four kills.

Set Three: Rockhurst 25, Bellarmine 21
Woodman's kill capped off the match as the Hawks broke away from a 20-all deadlock. Reichert paced the Hawks with five kills.
