Hawks host Rogers State Hillcats

The Rockhurst Hawks return to action Saturday against the Rogers State Hillcats in a 5:30 p.m. tip at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Rockhurst (2-2) and Rogers State (2-4) meet for the just the second time ever. The Hillcats won their first meeting, 75-57, last year in Claremore, Oklahoma.

The Hawks are coming off an 86-79 victory over Washburn last Saturday. Madeline Ronshausen led the Hawks with 20 points.

Ronshausen tops the Hawks in scoring (14.8 pg). She ranks 11th in scoring, fifth in free throw percentage (92.3) and 13th in 3-point field goals made (1.75 pg) in the GLVC. The 5-9 senior guard has scored 1,167 points in her career, while connecting on 175 3-point field goals.

Meghan Urbanski leads the GLVC in 3-point field goal percentage (60.0), The sophomore guard ranks fifth in field goal percentage (59.5) and ranks 17th scoring (13.5) in the GLVC. Daly Sullivan ranks 29th in scoring (11.3) and 13th in 3-point field goals made in the GLVC (1.75 pg).

The Hillcats suffered a 75-56 loss at home to Missouri Southern last Saturday. Southern went on a 19-0 run in the third quarter and build a lead as large as 35 points in the fourth quarter.

Rockhurst will open conference play at William Jewell next Tuesday night.
