Hawks host Washburn Saturday

Madeline Ronshausen and the Hawks take on the Washburn Ichabods Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Rockhurst continues non-conference play Saturday, taking on Washburn (5:30 p.m.) at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks (1-2) earned their first win of the season Wednesday, handling Ottawa by a score of 88-59. Madeline Ronshausen (14 points), Meghan Urbanski (13 points) and Hailey Dolphin (11 points) led the charge offensively for Rockhurst. The Hawks shot over 50 percent from the floor (34-for-67) and over 40 percent from three (nine-of-21).

Urbanski leads the team in scoring at 14.7 per game. Ronshausen has poured in 13 points per game. Daly Sullivan is averaging 9.7 points and a team-high 4.3 rebounds per game. Freshman Molly Hummel leads the team in assists with six.

Washburn (3-1) enters the contest on a three-game winning streak, with wins over Oklahoma Baptist, Bethel College and Baker University. The Ichabods have won their last 15 meetings against Rockhurst.
