Rockhurst earns 3-0 win over Maryville

The Rockhurst Hawks earned their 20th win of the season, sweeping Maryville in three sets (25-17, 25-18, 25-13) Saturday afternoon at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Coach Tracy Rietzke's team played a clean match, enjoying a sizable advantage in hitting percentage, .386 to Maryville's .124. 

Karli Reichert set the tone again for Rockhurst, racking up 17 kills and 12 digs -- her second double-double in as many days.

Dani Prusha stuffed the stat sheet as well, tallying 41 assists and 15 digs. Mary Rolf was active for the Hawks, recording 12 kills and four blocks on an impressive .857 hitting percentage. Audrey Arand added nine kills and a pair of blocks.

Alyssa Woodman kept plays alive, recording a game-high 15 digs. Jadyn Makovicka added 13 digs, one of four Hawks in double figures as Rockhurst totaled 62 digs in three sets.

Set One: Rockhurst 25, Maryville 17
Trailing 14-10, the Hawks closed the set on a 15-3 run. Reichert and Rolf combined for 13 kills.

Set Two: Rockhurst 25, Maryville 18
Reichert closed out the second set with her sixth kill of the set.

Set Three: Rockhurst 25, Maryville 13
The Hawks jumped out to a 10-1 lead. Reichert, Rolf and Arand combined for 11 kills.

The 20th-ranked Hawks improve to 20-6 (8-1 GLVC). Rockhurst hits the road next weekend for a pair of conference games -- Friday at Quincy (7:00 p.m.) and Saturday at Truman State (3:00 p.m.).
