Hawks face Lindenwood, UMSL on the road

The Rockhurst volleyball team returns to the road for two road games on the Eastern side of Missouri this week. The 11th-ranked Hawks play at Lindenwood Thursday night (7:00) and face Missouri-St. Louis Saturday afternoon (3:00) on the Tritons' home floor.

Rockhurst currently ranks 11th in the latest AVCA Division II Top 25 Poll with a 12-3 record (2-0 GLVC). The Hawks rank in the top 25 in NCAA Division II in hitting percentage (13th, .272), kills per set (19th, 13.94) and assists per set (25th, 12.71).

Karli Reichert ranks 43rd in the nation in kills (3.71 p/s) and 50th in points (4.15 p/s). Alyssa Woodman ranks 78th in kills (3.44 p/s). Jadyn Makovicka ranks 58th in the nation in digs (4.92 p/s). Dani Prusha ranks 19th in the nation in assists (10.9 p/s). Mary Rolf ranks 14h in the nation in hitting percentage (.408).

Lindenwood (8-3, 1-1 GLVC) is coming off a 3-1 loss at Drury on Saturday. Junior middle hitter Sadie Kosciuk ranks eighth in the GLVC with 4.11 points per set. Freshman setter Annalise Harry ranks second in the GLVC in assists per set (11.0). Rockhurst meets Lindenwood for the second time in three years. The Hawks won by a 3-0 score in Kansas City on Sept. 19, 2017.

UMSL (13-1, 1-1 GLVC) split its first two conference matches last week. The Tritons fell 3-1 at Drury and won 3-0 at Southwest Baptist. Senior outside hitter Selena Nolte leads the GLVC in kills (4.21) and points per set (4.47). Rockhurst fell by a 3-1 score at UMSL last year to end an eight-match winning streak against the Tritons.
