Woodman leads Hawks to 3-0 win at SBU

Alyssa Woodman collected 18 kills and eight digs to lead 12th-ranked Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over Southwest Baptist (25-9, 25-16, 25-12) Thursday night in match that was moved to Bolivar High School.

The Hawks (16-3, 6-0 GLVC) have won their last 11 matches heading into a showdown at GLVC co-leader Drury on Saturday.

Karli Reichert posted a double-double, racking up 10 kills and 10 digs. Audrey Arand (nine kills) and Mary Rolf (eight kills) were active offensively for the Hawks as well. Dani Prusha tallied a game-high 36 assists and added seven digs. Jadyn Makovicka posted a team-high 11 digs.

Set One: Rockhurst 25, Southwest Baptist 9
The Hawks ended the set on a 15-2 run. Rockhurst posted 15 kills without making a hitting error.

Set Two: Rockhurst 25, Southwest Baptist 16
Tied at 9-9, the Hawks went on a 8-0 run to take a 17-9 lead behind a combined five kills from Woodman and Arand.

Set Three: Rockhurst 25, Southwest Baptist 12
Woodman ended the match with her sixth kill of the set. The Hawks hit .452 with 17 kills.
