Rockhurst scored a late goal to defeat Missouri-St. Louis, 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Bourke Field.
It was a defensive battle until the Hawks broke through in the 81st minute when 
Stephanie Ostrander headed home a perfect right cross from 
Elle Guttmann, set up by a pass from 
Meghan Schmidt.
 
Rockhurst outshot UMSL, 9-8. Ostrander had a team-high three shots. 
Hannah Lauer and 
Mary Koeller added two shots apiece.
 
Freshman goalkeeper 
Megan Meyers posted a clean sheet, including seven saves for the Hawks.
 
Rockhurst improves to 4-3-1 (3-1 GLVC) with the win.
The Hawks are back in action Friday afternoon (Sept. 28) at Maryville. That starts a stretch of four away matches.
