Hawks down 19th-ranked Lindenwood, 16-11

Sam Lindahl led the Hawks with six points on three goals and three assists.

Box Score Rockhurst scored six extra-man goals in posting a 16-11 victory over 19th-ranked Lindenwood Friday in St. Charles, Missouri.

The 20th-ranked Hawks jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first period as Shea Radel and Collin Fischer combined for four goals. Radel's third goal of the game gave Rockhurst an 8-2 lead with 11:04 left in the second period.

Sam Lindahl led the Hawks with six points on three goals and three assists. Radel tallied four goals and one assist. Kai Trujillo collected three goals and one assist. Drake O'Neill and Fischer each had two goals and one assist.

Rockhurst outshot Lindenwood, 39-35. O'Neill led the Hawks with 12 shots. Radel and Trujillo added six shots apiece.

Zach Bodeau won 18 of 20 faceoffs and posted 12 ground balls. Sal Valdivia had seven faceoff wins and four ground balls. Connor Bateman and O'Neill each posted six ground balls. Alex Pfeil collected 11 saves.

The Hawks (12-1) return home to host Westminster (Utah) on Thursday.
