Lindahl rallies Hawks to 19-13 win over Westminster

Sam Lindahl led the Hawks with nine points on six goals and three assists.

Box Score Sam Lindahl collected nine points to help rally 17th-ranked Rockhurst to a 19-13 victory over Westminster College Thursday night at RU's Bourke Field.

The Hawks scored seven unanswered goals to overcome an 11-8 deficit midway through the third period. Lindahl found the nets twice and assisted on two goals in the 7-0 run that gave Rockhurst a 15-12 lead with just seven minutes left.

Jake Martin tallied five points on three goals and two assists. Michael Beckham scored four goals. Drake O'Neill added three goals, while Kai Trujillo had two goals and one assist.

Rockhurst outshot Westminster, 52-34. Lindahl led the Hawks with nine shots. Beckham and Trujillo added eight shots apiece.

Zach Bodeau and Sal Valdivia each won 14 of 18 faceoffs and picked up 10 ground balls. Connor Hill posted five ground balls and four caused turnovers. Alex Pfeil collected eight saves.

The Hawks (13-1, 6-1 RMAC) host 14th-ranked Colorado Mesa on Saturday.
