Hawks improve record to 10-1 with win over Adams State

Box Score Rockhurst captured its 10th victory of the season by cruising to a 13-2 victory over Adams State in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game Sunday at RU's Bourke Field.

The Hawks scored seven unanswered goals to take a 7-1 lead in the third period. Rockhurst outscored the Grizzlies 6-0 in the fourth period.

Kai Trujillo paced the Hawks with four points on two goals and two assists. Jake Hardin posted three goals (all in the fourth period). Drake O'Neill and Shea Radel added two goals each. Jake Martin and Sam Lindahl combined for four assists and two goals.

Rockhurst outshot Adams State, 52-19. Drake O'Neill led the Hawks with nine shots. Collin Fischer collected seven shots and Lindahl added six shots.

Sal Valdivia won 11 of 17 faceoffs and had three ground balls. Chase Litteken and O'Neill each picked up six ground balls. Alex Pfeil posted seven saves.

The Hawks (10-1, 5-1 RMAC) play at Mercyhurst on Friday.
