Hawks roll past Johnson & Wales

Patrick Howley led the Hawks with five goals and two assists.

Box Score Patrick Howley scored seven points to lead Rockhurst to a 24-1 victory over Johnson & Wales on Sunday at RU's Bourke Field.

The Hawks jumped out to 9-0 lead at the end of the first period and led 14-0 at halftime. Rockhurst took an 21-0 lead into the fourth period.

Howley paced the Hawks with five goals and two assists. Jake Hardin scored four points on two goals and two assists. Shea Radel and Sean Dotson each posted two goals and one assist. Nick Schveninger, Pad DeBruzzi and Tyler Sekarski added two goals apiece.

Rockhurst outshot Johnson & Wales, 58-9. DeBruzzi led the Hawks with seven shots. Hardin and Schveninger each collected six shots.

Zach Bodeau and Connor Bateman combined for 14 faceoff wins and nine ground balls. Connor Hill and Schveninger each had four ground balls.

The Hawks (8-1, 3-1 RMAC) host Colorado State-Pueblo on March 23.
