Rockhurst posts 14-8 win over Wheeling Jesuit

Box Score Seven players scored goals to lead Rockhurst to a 14-8 victory over Wheeling Jesuit Sunday at RU's Bourke Field.

The Hawks jumped out to a 7-3 halftime lead behind three extra-man opportunity goals. Rockhurst outscored Wheeling 7-5 in the second half.

Sam Lindahl led the Hawks with four points on two goals and two assists. Drake O'Neill and Collin Fischer each scored a team-high three goals. Kai Trujillo and Nick Schveninger added three points apiece on two goals and one assist.

Rockhurst outshot Wheeling, 47-23. O'Neill led the Hawks with eight shots. Schveninger collected six shots. Fischer and Oliver Beyers each had five shots.

Zach Bodeau won 12 faceoffs and posted a team-high seven ground balls. Sal Valdivia added eight faceoff wins and five ground balls. Alex Pfeil posted nine saves.

The Hawks (4-0) play at Westminster in Salt Lake City on Saturday, March 3.
