Rockhurst wrapped up the season on a high note Saturday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks jumped out to a big lead early in posting an 86-79 Senior Day victory over Missouri S&T.

The Hawks (14-14, 7-11 GLVC) led by 21 points in the first half and took a 53-35 lead into halftime while hitting 21 of 38 field goals in the first 20 minutes.

Rockhurst led by double figures for most of the second half until S&T ended the game on an 18-8 run over the final five-plus minutes. The Miners scored 44 points on 51.4 percent shooting in the second half.

"I thought we ended the season on a great note," said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "We really shared the ball well and made big plays when they cut our lead to single digits. This group has showed a lot of character and resiliency this year. I love the future we have with our program and I think our seniors had a lot to do with the culture that has been created here."

Quinton Curry led the Hawks with 24 points (11 of 16 field goals) and 11 rebounds. Travis House scored 20 points with six 3-pointers in his final college game. Curtis Lewis posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Eddie Muench tallied 10 points and five assists. Senior Alex Hagan scored eight points.

Rockhurst shot 51.6 percent from the field (33 of 64) and 39.3 percent from behind the 3-point line (11 of 28). The Miners made 32 of 67 field goals (47.8 percent) and nine of 28 3-point shots (32.1 percent).
