Box Score Southern Indiana used a five-minute run in the second half to turn back Rockhurst, 81-72, Saturday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.
The 15th-ranked Screaming Eagles and Hawks were tied at 45-all midway through the third period. Southern Indiana went on a 15-2 run to take a 60-47 lead with nine minutes left.
Jillian Myers led the Hawks with 21 points, 10 steals, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Madeline Ronshausen posted 14 points on six-of-19 shooting.
Kaci German scored nine points. Tracy Monahan collected seven points and a team-high nine rebounds. Morgan Harwood added seven points and five rebounds.
Rockhurst shot 37.7 percent from the field (26 of 69). Southern Indiana made 28 of 60 shots for a 46.7 percent field goal percentage. The Screaming Eagles won the rebound battle, 45-37.
The Hawks (10-14, 6-10 GLVC) remain in eighth place in the GLVC Point Rating System (PRS). The top eight teams in the PRS will qualify for the GLVC Tournament in early March in Edwardsville, Illinois.
