Hawks open road trip with loss at Rogers State

Rockhurst opened its three-game road trip with a 75-57 loss to Rogers State Saturday afternoon in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Marisa Lowe led the Hawks in scoring with 15 points, including three-of-seven from beyond the arc and four-for-four from the foul line. Madeline Ronshausen added 11 points and a team-high three assists. Rachel Holden chipped in eight points including four-for-four free throws. Kaci German scored five points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

Rogers State started the game with a 9-0 run and led 20-8 after one quarter. The Hawks battled back in the second quarter. A Lauren Krissman 3-pointer trimmed the Hillcats lead to four at 24-20 midway through the quarter. RSU took a 31-23 lead into halftime.

An 8-0 Rogers State run saw the lead balloon to 19 points late in the third quarter at 54-35. The lead hovered around that margin the rest of the way as 16 points would be as close as the Hawks would get in the fourth quarter.
