The Rockhurst women's basketball team (2-1) returns to Mason-Halpin Field House to host the Avila Eagles (2-1) Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The Eagles defeated Ottawa University and McPherson College in their first two games of the regular season and lost at Bethel College Tuesday night.
Â
Rockhurst showcased a potent offense in wins over Adams State and Saint Mary. They look to get back in the win column after falling to Washburn in their previous game. Something has to give when the Hawks offense (74.3 points per game) meets the Avila defense, which allows just 54.5 points per game.

Junior guard
Madeline Ronshausen leads the Hawks in scoring (18 points per game). Junior guard
Lauren Krissman has been an offensive weapon as well, averaging 11.8 points. Senior
Rachel Holden has been a presence inside, posting a team-high 5.3 rebounds per game. Senior guard
Briahtia Sebek is adding 8.7 points per game on 37.5 percent from beyond the arc.
