Truman State broke away in the second half behind 55-percent shooting to post a 75-52 victory over the Hawks Saturday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Bulldogs opened the second half on a 16-4 run to take a 52-36 lead. Truman State held the Hawks to four free throws in the first seven minutes of the third quarter. Rockhurst tallied seven unanswered points to take a 26-24 lead midway through the second quarter. Jillian Myers scored eight of the Hawks' 17 points in the second quarter.

Madeline Ronshausen led the Hawks with 19 points on six-of-18 shooting. Myers collected 13 points, five assists and four steals. Tracy Monahan added six points and six rebounds.

Rockhurst shot 38.3 percent from the field, while the Bulldogs finished with a 45.8 percent field goal percentage.

The Hawks (7-8, 3-4 GLVC) play at Lewis on Thursday.
