Rockhust soccer coach Tony Tocco received a special award for his local contributions to soccer in Kansas City as the newest honoree of the Sporting Kansas City Local Legends.

Tocco was honored at halftime of the Sporting Kansas City game with the Los Angeles Galaxy game Sunday afternoon at Children's Mercy Park. Tocco was presented a plaque and Local Legend jersey by Sporting Kansas City in front of a sellout crowd of 19,028.

The Local Legends initiative honors individuals who have dedicated significant time and energy making a positive contribution toward the growth of soccer in Kansas City.

Local Legends honorees have their names placed on the Sporting Local Legends wall just outside the Boulevard Members Club Patio at Children's Mercy Park.
