Hawks post 14-5 road win at Adams State

Zach Bodeau won 15-of-23 faceoffs and posted nine ground balls.

Box Score Rockhurst jumped back into the win column after a two-game losing streak with a 14-5 win over Adams State Thursday in Alamosa, Colo.

The Hawks (6-2, 2-2 RMAC) scored the first four goals of the game and took a 5-1 lead into halftime. Rockhurst outscored the Grizzlies 9-4 in the second half.

Michael Beckham and Jake Martin led the Hawks with three goals apiece. Luke VanOverbeke collected two goals and two assists. Grant VanOverbeke added one goal and four assists.

Rockhurst outshot Adams State 49-32. Luke VanOverbeke led the Hawks with eight shots. Beckham and Martin added seven shots each.

Zach Bodeau won 15-of-23 faceoffs and posted nine ground balls. Freshman goalie Spencer Bright finished with 12 saves.
