Rockhurst picks up 14-8 win at CSU-Pueblo

Grant VanOverbeke led the Hawks with five goals and one assist.

Box Score Grant VanOverbeke scored six points on five goals and one assist to lead Rockhurst to a 14-8 victory over Colorado State-Pueblo Saturday in Pueblo, Colo.

The Hawks (7-2, 3-2 RMAC) scored the first three goals of the game and took a 6-4 lead into halftime. Rockhurst outscored the ThunderWolves 8-4 in the second half.

Luke VanOverbeke posted three goals and one assist. Michael Beckham tallied two goals and two assists. Sean Conway scored two goals. Christian Schveninger added one goal and one assist.

Rockhurst outshot Pueblo, 50-29. Beckham and Grant VanOverbeke led the Hawks with nine shots each. Luke Vanoverbeke added seven shots.

Zach Bodeau won 18-of-23 faceoffs and collected 11 ground balls. Freshman goalie Spencer Bright finished with five saves.
