Dineen leads Hawks in overtime win at Saint Joseph's

Mary Dineen scored eight of her game-high 28 points in overtime.

Mary Dineen scored eight of her game-high 28 points in overtime to carry Rockhurst to a 77-71 victory over Saint Joseph's Thursday night in Rensselaer, Indiana.

Dineen made all three of her field goals and sank both of her free throws in overtime. She finished 10-of-18 from the field and seven-of-seven at the foul line. Dineen also collected five rebounds and three assists.

The Hawks (15-7, 9-5 GLVC) ended the game on a 10-2 run over the final 2:24. Briahtia Sebek made four free throws in the final minute. The Pumas forced the overtime by hitting a three-pointer at the end of the fourth period.

Jillian Myers posted 20 points, nine assists, four steals and three blocked shots. Marisa Lowe added eight points with two three-pointers.

Rockhurst shot 37.9 percent from the field (22 of 58) and 93.1 percent at the free-throw line (27 of 29).

Saint Joseph's finished 41.3 percent from the field (24 of 58) and 87.5 percent (21 of 24) from the foul line. Kalea Parks led the Pumas with 24 points and five assists.

The Hawks play at Indianapolis on Saturday (Feb. 11).
