Rockhurst suffered its first road loss in its last five road games, falling at Truman State, 87-61, Saturday in Kirksville, Mo.

The Hawks (17-8, 11-6 GLVC) never led in the game, falling behind 25-14 after the first period and 42-28 at halftime. Rockhurst was outscored in the paint, 38-10, and allowed 24 points off turnovers.

Mary Dineen led the Hawks with 16 points, four rebounds and six assists. The senior guard made five-of-13 shots and five-of-six free throws.

Marisa Lowe scored 14 points behind four-of-six 3-point shooting. Madeline Ronshausen added eight points. Rachel Holden posted a team-high six rebounds and two blocked shots.

Rockhurst shot 36.5 percent from the field (19 of 52) and 76.2 percent at the free-throw line (16 of 21).

Truman State shot 50.9 percent from the field (28 of 55) and 78.8 percent (25 of 32) from the foul line. Cassidy Clark led the Bulldogs with 21 points.

The Hawks close out the regular season at William Jewell on Thursday (Feb. 23).
