Hawks fall on the road at Central Missouri

Central Missouri held Rockhurst to 13 points over a 20-minute stretch on the way to a 79-53 victory over the Hawks Tuesday night in Warrensburg.

The Jennies never trailed in the game while jumping out to a 37-24 halftime lead. Central Missouri made 10 of 16 shots in the third quarter to extend its lead to 61-30.

Rockhurst ended the game on a 19-6 run to cut into Central Missouri's lead. Lauren Krissman scored eight points in the final seven minutes for the Hawks.


Madeline Ronshausen paced Rockhurst with 15 points and four rebounds. Jillian Myers posted 14 points, three assists and five steals. Mary Leigh Rock and Katelyn Parkey each had five rebounds.


Rockhurst shot 31.3 percent from the field, while the Jennies finished with a 50.9 percent field goal percentage.

The Hawks (6-5) return to conference play at home against William Jewell on Jan. 4.
