The Rockhurst Hawks were held to a season-low offensively in falling to Missouri Western 52-39 Saturday night in the Fairfield Inn Thanksgiving Classic in Saint Joseph, Missouri.

The Hawks finished with 13 field goals and one three-point field goal. Rockhurst scored 18 points in the second half on five-of-21 field goal shooting.

Missouri Western pulled away from a two-point lead in the fourth quarter as the Griffons outscored the Hawks 20-9 over the final 10 minutes.

Jillian Myers led the Hawks with 11 points and six rebounds. Kaci German posted six points and eight rebounds. Mary Leigh Rock came off the bench to score four points and grab seven rebounds.

Rockhurst shot 26.5 percent from the field (13 of 49) and 63.2 percent from the foul line (12 of 19). Missouri Western hit 19 of 53 shots (35.8 percent) and 11 of 17 free throws (64.7 percent).

The Hawks (4-2) open conference play at home on Thursday against Quincy.
