Rockhurst posts two wins at Midwest Region Crossover

Karli Reichert combined for 32 kills to lead Rockhurst to a pair of wins at the Midwest Region Crossover.

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Rockhurst opened play on the first day of the Midwest Region Crossover with regional victories over Northern Michigan and Wayne State (Michigan) on Friday in Aurora, Illinois.

The Hawks posted a 15-10 win in the fifth set to edge Northern Michigan 3-2. Rockhurst won the first two sets, and then dropped the third and fourth sets.

Alyssa Woodman led the Hawks with 16 kills and 18 digs. Grace Carter tallied 29 assists, 10 kills and 10 digs. Karli Reichert added 15 kills. Audrey Arand collected 11 kills and four blocks. Anne Hellwege had a team-high 24 digs.

Reichert produced 17 kills and six blocks to power Rockhurst to a 3-1 victory over Wayne State. Woodman added 16 kills and 15 digs. Carter posted 32 assists and eight kills.

Hellwege collected a team-high 20 digs. Kalie Arnold added 18 digs. Dani Prusha tallied 16 assists and 13 digs.

The Hawks (16-5) close out play in the Midwest Region Crossover against Walsh on Saturday.
