Sixth-ranked Hawks improve record to 8-0-1

Box Score Rockhurst held Missouri S&T to one shot on goal Sunday at Bourke Field in posting a 2-0 victory over the Miners while head coach Tony Tocco moves closer to 700 career wins.

Tocco has now won 688 games over his 47 seasons at Rockhurst. He is currently one win behind Ohio Wesleyan's Jay Martin as the all-time winningest coach in men's college soccer.

The sixth-ranked Hawks scored both of their goals in the second half. Adam Michel knocked in a penalty kick in the 47th minute after Kaleb Jackson was fouled in the box.

Michael Panarisi tallied the second goal in the 85th minute. Panarisi headed in a shot from four yards out with assists from Umoh Ufot and Salim Gumati.

???????Rockhurst outshot the Miners, 23-4. Jackson led the Hawks with six shots and four shots on goal. Michel collected five shots and three shots on goal. Jacob Richter added three shots. Logan Feldman finished with his fifth shutout of the season.

The Hawks (8-0-1 and 7-0 in the GLVC) play at Maryville Friday afternoon.
