The Rockhurst Hawks ended their first conference road trip of the season with a 98-77 loss at Southern Indiana Saturday in Evansville, Indiana.

The 17th-ranked Screaming Eagles (14-0, 4-0 GLVC) finished with a 64.2 shooting percentage on 34-of-53 field goal shooting. Southern Indiana made 20-of-30 shots inside the three-point line and and hit 14-of-23 from outside the three-point line.

"That was probably the most impressive shooting display that I have ever coached against," said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "Their guys really shared it well and knocked down open and contested jumpers. They were terrific. We scored OK, but couldn't keep up with their offense. All the credit to them for how they played."

Alex Hagan led the Hawks (7-6, 1-4 GLVC) with 22 points on nine-of-14 shooting. Malachi Nix scored 20 points on eight-of-13 shooting. Mason Loewen collected 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Travis House added eight points.

Rockhurst shot 52.6 percent from the field (30 of 57) and 40.9 percent on three-pointers (nine of 22).

The Hawks return home to host McKendree on Thursday night.
