Box Score Rockhurst connected on 12 three-point field goals in rolling an 86-66 victory over Illinois Springfield Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
The Hawks (10-4, 5-2 GLVC) shot 50 percent from the field (31 of 62), including hitting 12-of-23 three-point field goals. Rockhurst leads the Great Lakes Valley Conference in three-point field goals made, averaging 8.5 per game.
Marisa Lowe led the Hawks with 22 points on eight-of-13 shooting. Madeline Ronshausen scored 17 points on five-of-seven shooting. Lowe and Ronshausen combined for 10 three-pointers on just 15 attempts.
Mary Dineen posted 15 points, four assists and two steals. Jillian Myers tallied nine points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals. Kaci German collected eight points and eight rebounds. Lauren Krissman added six points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Illinois Springfield (7-7, 1-5 GLVC) made 27-of-71 field goals (38.0 percent) and outscored Rockhurst 36-30 in the paint.
The Hawks play at Missouri S&T on Thursday (Jan. 19).
