Rockhurst posts 3-0 road win at Truman State

Anne Hellwege led the Hawks with 25 digs in three sets.

Box Score Rockhurst held Truman State to a .127 hitting percentage in posting a 3-0 victory over Truman State Friday in Kirksville, Missouri.

The Hawks won the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-23, behind 17 kills from Morgan Rietzke and Mattie Gray. Rockhurst wrapped up the match with a 25-20 win in the third set behind six kills from Rietzke and Mary Rolf.

Rietzke led the Hawks with 11 kills and 13 digs. Gray posted 10 kills and two blocks. Alyssa Woodman added seven kills and eight digs.

Anne Hellwege collected a team-high 25 digs. Lily Thornberg tallied 20 assists and 14 digs. Kalie Arnold (16 digs) and Grace Carter (16 assists) also played key roles in the road win.

The Hawks (10-4, 4-1 GLVC) play at GLVC West Division co-leader Quincy on Saturday, October 1.
