Box Score Rockhurst was held scoreless for more than 30 minutes in falling to Adams State, 9-4, in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game Tuesday night in Alamosa, Colorado.
Adams State jumped out to a 4-2 lead at halftime. The Grizzlies scored the first five goals of the second half to take a 9-2 lead with 2:50 left to play. Rockhurst scored two goals in the final minute from
Alex Hebson and
Nick Schveninger.
Jake Martin and
Michael Beckham posted goals in the first half for the Hawks.
Ian Meister won 10-of-16 faceoffs and posted three ground balls.
Mike Boehm had a team-high seven ground balls.
Alex Pfeil collected for nine saves.
Rockhurst outshot Adams State 44-31. Beckham led the Hawks with 11 shots. Martin added nine shots.
