Parkside rallies for 64-58 victory over Hawks

Wisconsin-Parkside held Rockhurst to six points in the fourth quarter to rally a 64-58 victory over the Hawks Saturday in Somers, Wisconsin.

The Rangers scored the last nine points of the game while holding Rockhurst scoreless over the final five-and-a-half minutes.

Mary Dineen's jumper gave Rockhurst a 58-55 lead with 5:31 left to play. The Hawks missed their final nine shots down the stretch.

Dineen led the Hawks with 24 points. Lauren Meyers posted seven points and seven rebounds. Jillian Myers collected six points, four rebounds and five assists. Haleigh Cindrich added six points and seven rebounds.

The Hawks jumped out to a 33-19 lead in the second quarter and led 35-27 at halftime. Rockhurst went into the fourth quarter with a 52-49 lead.

Rockhurst shot 39.1 percent from the field on 18-of-46 shooting. The Hawks hit eight-of-20 shots from three-point range.

Parkside made 23-of-53 field goals (43.4 percent) and four-of-15 three-point shots. Stephanie Furr paced the Rangers with 21 points and eight rebounds.

The Hawks, 12-9 and 5-8 in the GLVC, return home to host Indianapolis on Thursday (February 11).
