Mary Dineen and Marisa Lowe combined for 40 points to lead Rockhurst to a 70-61 victory over William Jewell Wednesday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks jumped out to a 21-9 lead after the first period as Jewell was held to three-of-17 shooting. Rockhurst widened its lead to 16 points, 47-31, in the third period.

Dineen led the Hawks with 23 points, five rebounds and five assists. Lowe posted 17 points, four rebounds and three assists. Jillian Myers tallied nine points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Morgan Harwood and Lauren Krissman each scored eight points.

Rockhurst shot 41.7 percent from the field (20 of 48) and 88.5 percent from the foul line (22 of 25). Jewell made 20-of-63 field goals (31.7 percent) and 14-of-23 free throws (60.9 percent). Maddie Nelson paced Jewell with 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

The Hawks (7-2, 3-0 GLVC) will play at Oklahoma Panhandle State on Sunday (December 11).
