Box Score Twelve players broke into the scoring column to help carry Rockhurst to a 73-59 victory over Saint Mary Sunday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.
The Hawks outscored the Spires 20-6 in the second period to take a 41-27 halftime lead. Rockhurst widened its lead to 19 points late in the third period.
Mary Dineen paced the Hawks with 17 points (seven-of-14 field goal shooting) and four assists. Dineen scored seven consecutive points in the second period to give the Hawks a 31-26 lead.
Jillian Myers posted five points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals. Rachel Holden collected eight points, five rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Marisa Lowe, Kaci German and Madeline Ronshausen each scored seven points. Lauren Krissman added six points and six rebounds.
Rockhurst shot 43.1 percent from the field (28 of 65) and 20.0 percent on 3-point shots (four of 20). Saint Mary made 13-of-52 field goals (25.0 percent) and four-of-20 three-pointers. Imani White paced the Spires with 15 points and five rebounds.
