Dineen leads Hawks to 86-64 win over Lincoln

Mary Dineen led the Hawks with 30 points.

Mary Dineen scored 30 points to lead Rockhurst to an 86-64 season-opening victory over Lincoln Saturday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks outscored Lincoln 26-9 in the third period to take a 61-45 lead going into the fourth period. Dineen tallied 12 points in the third period on five-of-six field goal shooting.

Dineen finished with 10-of-19 field goal shooting and canned seven-of-seven free throws. Marisa Lowe posted 13 points on four-of-seven field goals, including two-of-five three-pointers.

Morgan Harwood collected nine points and 12 rebounds. Freshmen Madeline Ronshausen and Rachel Holden combined for 15 points.

Rockhurst shot 39.7 percent from the field (27 of 68) and 33.3 percent on 3-point shots (nine of 27). Lincoln made 22-of-55 field goals (40.0 percent) and five-of-14 three-pointers. Azaria Nave paced the Blue Tigers with 27 points and five rebounds.
