Hawks ranked No. 1 in first NCAA Midwest Region poll

The Rockhurst Hawks are ranked No. 1 in the first NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Midwest Region poll of 2016. The NCAA Tournament field will be announced on November 7, the day after the GLVC Championship game in Indianapolis.
 
Rockhurst continues to lead the GLVC with a 10-1-1 league record. The Hawks fell four spots to No. 5 in the NSCAA national rankings after dropping its first season of the season at home to McKendree last week.
 
Southern Indiana is ranked second in the Midwest Region, followed by Drury in third and Missouri-St. Louis in fourth. The bottom half of the regional poll includes Saginaw Valley State (fifth), Missouri S&T (sixth), Tiffin (seventh) and Northwood (eighth).
 
Rockhurst (12-1-1 overall) hosts Drury Friday night in its final home game of the regular season. The Hawks close out the regular season at Missouri S&T on Sunday, October 23 and at William Jewell on Wednesday, October 26.
