Box Score Rockhurst drained a season-high 14 three-point field goals to carry the Hawks to a 74-54 victory over McKendree Saturday in Lebanon, Illinois.
The Hawks outscored McKendree 29-14 in the second quarter to take a 36-24 halftime lead. Rockhurst hit seven three-point shots in the second period, including three from freshman Marisa Lowe. Four more three-pointers in the third period gave the Hawks a 60-35 lead after three quarters.
Mary Dineen led the Hawks with 20 points, three assists and two steals. Lowe scored 15 points behind five-of-10 three-pointers. Lauren Meyers posted 12 points on four-of-six shooting. Jillian Myers finished with eight rebounds, six steals, five points, four blocks and three assists.
Rockhurst shot 51.9 percent from the field (27 of 52) and made 50.0 percent from behind the three-point line (14 of 28). The Hawks scored 30 points off turnovers.
McKendree made 18-of-54 field goals (33.3 percent) and 16-of-20 free throws (80.0 percent). Kelsee Ennis paced the Bearcats with 14 points.
The Hawks, 10-4 and 3-3 in the GLVC, play at William Jewell on Monday (January 18).
