Box Score Claudio Romano connected on a header for the second consecutive game to give Rockhurst a conference victory. Romano's goal in the 34th minute held up in the second half as the Hawks posted a 1-0 victory over Drury Sunday in Springfield, Mo.
Romano headed in a shot into the right side of the net from 10 yards out off a corner kick from
Michael Panarisi. The sophomore midfielder from Italy leads the Hawks with three goals in three games.
Rockhurst outshot Drury, 8-6. Romano and
Kaleb Jackson led the Hawks with three shots apiece. Sophomore goalkeeper
Logan Feldmann made three saves.
Rockhurst, 2-0-1 and 2-0 in the GLVC, will play at Illinois Springfield on Friday night.
