Box Score Claudio Romano found the nets on a header with 1:51 left in regulation to give Rockhurst a 1-0 victory over Missouri S&T in the conference opener for both teams Friday night at RU's Bourke Field.
Romano headed in a shot from eight yards out off an indirect free kick from
Gianluca Bottoni. The goal was Romano's second of the season while coming off the bench.
Rockhurst posted 10 shots in the second half to outshot S&T, 12-7.
Michael Panarisi led the Hawks with three shots. Romano added two shots. Sophomore goalkeeper
Logan Feldmann made four saves.
Rockhurst, 1-0-1 and 1-0 in the GLVC, will play at Drury on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
