Box Score The Rockhurst men suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Colorado Mesa 21-6 Tuesday night in Grand Junction, Colo.

Mesa jumped out to a 6-2 lead after the first period and took an 11-3 lead into halftime. Michael Beckham, Shea Radel and Christian Schevinger scored RU's goals in the first half. Peter Hummel, Aaron Horvat and Tyler Sekarski scored second half goals for the Hawks. Beckham and Hummel also collected an assist.

Mesa outshot the Hawks 63-20. Hummel, Beckham and Horvat each posted three shots. Alex Pfeil and Zach McGuff combined for 13 saves.

Rockhurst, 5-1, next plays at Colorado State-Pueblo on Wednesday, March 18.
