Box Score The undefeated Rockhurst Hawks scored four unanswered goals in the second half to pull away for a 13-11 victory over Adams State Sunday in Alamosa, Colo.
Christian Schveninger broke a 7-all tie with an unassisted goal with 5:56 left in the third period.
Aaron Horvat,
Michael Beckham and
Jake Martin later scored goals to give the Hawks an 11-7 lead with 14:35 left in the game.
Patrick Haviland and Schevinger added goals in the final period.
Beckham led the Hawks with three goals and one assist. Schevinger scored three goals. Martin and
Blake Foerster each finished with two goals and two assists. Haviland tallied two goals.
The Hawks outshot Adams State 46-43. Beckham paced the Hawks with nine shots.
Ian Meister collected a team-high seven ground balls and won 14 of 27 faceoffs.
Alex Pfeil posted nine saves while playing all 60 minutes in goal.
Rockhurst, 5-0, next plays at Colorado Mesa on Tuesday, March 17.
