Box Score Six players scored in double figures to lead the No. 1-ranked Lewis Flyers to a 96-57 victory over Rockhurst Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
Lewis jumped out to a 26-8 lead in the first seven minutes and took a 56-31 lead into halftime. The Flyers (23-0, 13-0 GLVC) outscored the Hawks 40-26 in the second half.
Kendall Hart led the Hawks with 13 points and nine rebounds.
Becca Strobbe also finished with 13 points.
Taylor Skala posted eight points and three steals.
Haleigh Cindrich added eight rebounds and three blocked shots.
Rockhurst shot 28.8 percent from the field (21 of 73) and 62.5 percent from the free-throw line. Lewis made 34-of-65 field goals (52.3 percent) and 20-of-22 free throws (90.9 percent). Jamie Johnson paced the Flyers with 18 points.
The Hawks, 8-13 and 2-11 in the GLVC, play at McKendree on Thursday, Feb. 12.
